From the very beginning of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a wide array of personalities, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, fiends, and sinister influences expanding in power within Dol-Makjar.
Heads-up: Revealing details for the third episode of Campaign 4 lie ahead.
The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced
The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the premier party of heroes who will separate from the central cast to embark on their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.
This warrior group features Teor (played by Travis), Thimble (the talented performer), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
With an extensive roster, it was evident from the beginning that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.
That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Introduction, weaving together the characters’ stories before branching into three separate parties: Fighters, Schemers, and Questers.
What Defines the Combat Party
Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy story mode where diplomatic options are scarce.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might seem mismatched, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of the deceased character—whose demise initiated the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his own means, invading the secret base, attacking the rogue, and swiping all the magical artifacts to auction.
Casimir then paid off his liabilities and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Secondly, each character has a specific drive to exit the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
- The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and cautions that it is a nasty place.
- The strong character and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to eliminate the fighter and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
- However, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the team access places they usually can’t.
- Additionally, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his salvation and will now go with him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are wanted by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making staying in the city no longer safe:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and The cleric defied the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- Teor is wanted dead by the clan.
This means them little choice but to travel to Timmony in quest for Casimir.
Upcoming Developments
According to the latest episode’s Cooldown, we discover that the warrior group will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight participants to form the Questers and Schemers tables.
Fans can look forward to discovering which adventurers will be in which group in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on October 24.
